The lovely woodblock print 'Boke Hojiro' (Meadow Bunting and Japanese Quince) is by Shundei Nakamura (1905–1966). It features a Meadow Bunting perched on a blooming Japanese quince branch, showcasing its beautiful colors and contrast. Published by Matsuyoshi. The Japanese title, Matsuyoshi publisher's seal, Shinmi printer's seal, and Okura carver's seal are on the left margin. The Western scientific name of the bird and flower is printed on the bottom margin. The artist's signature "Shundei" and a red seal are located in the lower right corner of the image.
