- Aki Nasu no Hana - Kaminazuki (Autumn Eggplant Flowers - October) -

The charming small-format woodblock print “Aki Nasu no Hana - Kaminazuki" (Autumn Eggplant Flowers - October), from the series Twelve Aspects of Flowers, is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902–2000). Printed in 1978, the composition features the Japanese title in the upper left, while the artist’s signature and red seal, both reading “Tomi,” appear in the lower left.

This lovely print features a charming autumn eggplant and its delicate blossoms set against a vivid yellow background. Although eggplant flowers are often easy to overlook, as they bloom facing downward, they are in fact remarkably beautiful and graceful blossoms.
