Amazing woodblock print "Dotonbori no yoi" (Evening at Dotonbori, Osaka) is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki. This is one of my favorite Tokuriki's prints. It is seldom on the market. Title "Dotonbori no yoi" (Evening at Dotonbori) and publisher name "Matsukyu" on the right margin. Subtitled "Dotonbori" and artist signature "Tomi" on the upper left of the image. Colorful reflection on the water is amazingly sensational. This is a stunning night scene of Dotonbori. Dotonbori is one of the most iconic areas in Osaka which is filled with restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs, and arcades. It's really bright at night because of all the neon lights.

A beautiful woodblock print "Koyasan Mie-do" (Mie-do Hall in Mt. Koya) is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki. This is one of "Koyasan Reiko Eisai" (Spiritual lights of Mt. Koya) series. Japanese title "Koyasan Mie-do", and artist's signature "Tomi" on the lower right of the image. Watermark "Tomi" on the upper right margin corner. This print has a very spiritual mood.
Mie-do Hall was constructed as a Jibutsu - do Hall (building for enshrining Buddhist images) and Nenju-do Hall (building for chanting sutras) by Kobo Daishi. The current edifice was reconstructed in 1847, and with its gently sloping roof and extending eaves, is one of the most elegant buildings in the entire area.

The lovely woodblock print "Hanagasa Roji" (Red Umbrella in Alley) is by Teruhide Kato. Wonderful composition and stunning contrast. Published by Unsodo. Teruhide Kato had studied at Kyoto Art College. He was a famous kimono fashion designer. When he was 50 years old, he decided to follow his real passion and became a traditional Kyoto woodblock artist. Success remained with the artist. After a gallery exhibition in New York and a book publication of his works titled "Kyoto Romance", he is as famous as a woodblock artist as he used to be as a kimono designer. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2015.
