The serene woodblock print "Zenko-ji Temple" is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki. It beautifully captures a peaceful snow-covered scene at Zenko-ji Temple, located in Motoyoshi-cho, Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture.

Zenko-ji has a history dating back approximately 1,400 years and houses the oldest Buddhist statue in Japan. Known for its spiritual significance and many blessings, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Shinshu region, attracting over 7 million visitors annually. This print evokes a quiet moment, with only a few figures present, creating a nostalgic and calm atmosphere.

The artist’s signature, “Tomi,” along with his red seal and the title, appears in the lower left corner of the image. The print is hand-signed “T. Tokuriki” in the bottom margin. The Japanese title of the series, the date, and the edition number—78/100 (first edition)—are noted in the right margin.
