The impressive silkscreen print 'Karatsu Okunchi' (Karatsu Okunchi Festival, Saga) is by Masaaki Tanaka (b. 1947). This small-format print captures the procession of floats during the powerful Karatsu Okunchi Festival in Saga Prefecture, Japan. The sheet number, Japanese title, and the artist’s signature are hand-signed along the bottom margin.

The Karatsu Okunchi Festival is the largest autumn festival of Karatsu Shrine. It began in 1819 and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage site in 2008.
