The serene woodblock print "Kyo, Takagamineji" (Takagamine Alley in Kyoto) is by Eiichi Kotozuka (1906-1982). Printed in Showa (Mid-1900), printing on "Uchida" watermarked paper. The title, the Artist's seal "Koto" and the publisher's seal "Uchida-ban" in the upper left corner of the image.  A peaceful view of the alley north of Kyoto. Takagamine Alley is the entrance to the Saba Kaido (Highway) which was important for the transportation of goods in those days. 

Eiichi Kotozuka was born in Osaka in 1906. He is a well-known woodblock artist who is famous for his landscapes in the Kinki area including Kyoto and Nara, flowers, birds, and figure prints.

Condition: Overall good condition. Minor toning. A few spots and a faint ink smudge in the image are hardly noticeable unless pointed out. Please see the picture.
