- "Spring" From The Lemon and the Four Season of Japan -

The delightful woodblock print Spring, from The Lemon and the Four Seasons of Japan series, is by Yoshisuke Funasaka. This series features the artist’s iconic lemon motif interpreted through Japan’s four seasons, with this work beautifully embodying the freshness of spring. The exceptionally large format is immediately eye-catching, while vibrant green hues create a striking contrast with the bright lemons, resulting in a refreshingly crisp composition.

In the distance, a small tree and the sun are thoughtfully placed to create a subtle sense of depth. Though simple in design, the work possesses a quiet poetry that gently captivates the viewer. Its refined simplicity and vivid palette make it an excellent complement to modern décor.

This series was produced in a limited edition of 300 copies, with an additional 30 impressions marked “H.C.” (hors commerce), meaning “not for sale” in French.
