- Kaki no Aki (Persimmon at Autumn) -

The serene woodblock print "Kaki no Aki" (Persimmons in Autumn) is by Kazuyuki Ohtsu. Printed in 2007, this popular work sold out quickly and is now out of print. The brown autumn leaves and thatched-roof house are rendered in calming tones that evoke a sense of peace, while the ripe persimmons provide a vivid contrast. The presence of a farmer’s wife adds a warm, human touch, making this a piece that gently draws the viewer in.

Condition: Overall in very good condition with minor toning. There is a faint surface mark on the bottom margin (right side) and a couple of tiny micro spots on the upper left margin, both of which will be matted out. A minor paper scuff is visible on the bottom edge of the verso.
