This spectacular woodblock print "Omiwatari no Asa"(Omiwatari at Morning) is by Shufu Miyamoto. Absolutely exquisite!! Omiwatari (God Crossing) is a natural phenomenon on Lake Suwa where ice cracks in a large section. According to legend, Omiwatari marks the path of a male god on a visit to a female god across the lake. Subtle gradations of color and beautiful mica add to the beauty of this wonderful print. The tranquil scene depicted in the print offers a glimpse into the peaceful, natural beauty of Omiwatari with Mt. Fuji, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate fine art and the beauty of nature.
