The wonderful woodblock print "Unjo no Kiso-komagatake (View of Mt. Komagatake in Kiso) is by Susumu Yamaguchi (1897-1983). Amazing scenery of mountains over the clouds. Phenomenal nature views with strong and bold colors. Sheet number "299/300", and hand-signed "S. Yamaguchi" on the bottom margin in pencil by the artist. Artist round seal "Yama" (mountain mark) on the lower right corner of the image.
Susumu Yamaguchi was born in 1897 in Nagano, Japan. His handmade print which combines strength and softness continues to fascinate people both inside and outside of Japan. He created many wonderful woodblock prints with the theme of the mountains of Shinshu. (His home town)

Condition: Very good condition for its age with minor toning. Minor paper crease on the margin corners, some minor spots on the verso which shows from the front (only margins, not image) and will be easily matted out. Please see the pictures.
