- Senpiro no taki, Yakushima (Senpiro no taki Waterfall, Yakushima) -

The exquisite woodblock print "Senpiro no Taki, Yakushima" (Senpiro no Taki Waterfall, Yakushima) is by Fumio Kitaoka (1918–2007) and was printed in 1999. This large print captures the breathtaking view of the V-shaped valley on Yakushima Island, with a powerful waterfall cascading from the middle. Using the traditional woodblock technique, Kitaoka has created a print that adds depth and texture to the image, making it even more captivating. The print is numbered, titled in Japanese, signed, and dated by the artist in pencil on the bottom margin. The watermark "FUMIO KITAOKA" is on the top margin.

Senpiro no Taki is a waterfall with a drop of about 60 meters, featuring a large volume of water cascading down a V-shaped valley and a massive granite monolith.

Condition: Overall, in excellent condition with strong colors. Slight waviness in the paper along the side margins, minor natural unevenness from the handmade paper process, and minor creases on the margins, which will be matted out. Tape residue on the left edge of the verso.
