The beautiful woodblock print 'Okoso zukin' (Beauty with a Purple Hood) is by Koji Fukiya (1898–1979). 'Okoso zukin' is a cold-weather headwear for women that was popular from the Edo to the Meiji period. It is printed on beautiful Japanese washi paper from the Showa era. The artist's signature (block-signed) and red seal are located in the upper right corner of the image, while the carver's and printer's names are embossed on the bottom margin. The delicate beauty depicted is wearing a purple hood and exudes elegance.
