The magnificent woodblock print 'Mikawa Hanabi' (Fireworks Display in Mikawa) is by Fumio Kitaoka (1918–2007), capturing the dynamic fireworks display in Aichi Prefecture. This print, printed in 1977, showcases the popularity and development of fireworks in the Mikawa region, particularly in Okazaki. The Mikawa Fireworks Display, held in August 1949, has since become a renowned festival nationwide. The print features lovely colors and contrast and is hand-signed by the artist in pencil on the bottom margin.
