This miniature woodblock print, Komoro Sōshun (Komoro in Early Spring), is by Un’ichi Hiratsuka (1895–1997). It depicts the quiet early-spring landscape of Komoro in Nagano Prefecture. Rendered in bold, simplified forms, the trees create a strong rhythmic presence against the gently rolling landscape, conveying the stillness of the season and Hiratsuka’s expressive carving style. The print is hand-signed, titled, and dated in pencil along the bottom margin.
