This charming three-print set is by Takumi Ito (b. 1946), an artist known for his woodblock prints depicting Japanese folk performing arts and traditional festivals. Each print portrays festival performers dressed in distinctive traditional costumes. The bold forms, expressive figures, and colorful clothing capture the lively character of these regional celebrations.
These miniature handmade woodblock prints were originally created for calendars and published by Chikuho-do. Their small size makes them a lovely choice for decorating a small space or giving as a thoughtful gift.
