The small woodblock print "Izumo Mihonoseki" (Mihonoseki Port Town in Izumo) is by Unichi Hiratsuka (1895–1997). It depicts the historic port town, once a bustling fishing village in the Izumo region of Shimane Prefecture. Revered as a place said to coexist with the gods, Mihonoseki is rendered in bold black and white, beautifully capturing the seascape of a traditional seaside village. The print is hand-signed, titled, and dated in pencil along the bottom margin, with a red seal reading Unichi Jitō (“carved by Unichi”) in the lower left corner of the image.
