The exquisite etching “Flower” by Kiyomi Kato (1931–2020) presents a sleek floral arrangement in a refined black-and-white palette—quietly modern and beautifully composed.

Born in Tokyo, Kato studied under Tetsuro Komai and began exhibiting in the 1960s, including at the Tokyo International Print Biennale. His works are held in major museum collections across Japan. He passed away in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of refined and contemplative works.
