Very serene woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu. Title "Ameni kururu tou, Tokyo Yanaka" (Pagoda in Evening Rain, Yanaka) and "Banshun" (Late spring) on left margin. Wonderful details and please notice the beautiful streaks of falling rain by Baren-sujizuri (great technique of printer) and reflection of stone lantern light on the ground (under the big tree). Everything is so tasteful. Excellent shading and ink bleed through. There is no watanabe seal. This print is later print, post war, most likely printed 1940 -1950. This is very popular Shiro print.
