Fine woodblock print "Nikko Shinkyo (Nikko Sacred Bridge in Rain) is by Shiro Kasamtsu (1898 - 1992). The publisher is Watanabe. Dated Showa 16 nen Natsu (1941, Summer) and signature "Shiro" on the right margin. Artist signature, artist's red seal, and Watanabe 6mm seal on the lower-right corner of the image. (Round 6mm seal, indicating a lifetime print produced 1946 - 1957). Magnificent misty rainy image of Nikko. The Sacred bridge contrasts beautifully with a subtle soft background. A woman with an umbrella adds an elegant atmosphere. This print is fairly scarce and difficult to obtain.
