The small woodblock print "Nara Hokki-ji" (Hokki-ji Temple in Nara) by Unichi Hiratsuka (1895–1997) depicts a serene view of the historic Hokki-ji Temple, featuring its iconic three-story pagoda surrounded by trees and a rice paddy. The tranquil composition, rendered in striking black and white, evokes a sense of quiet elegance and minimal beauty. Hand-signed, titled, and dated in pencil along the bottom margin.

Hokki-ji (also pronounced Hoki-ji) is a Buddhist temple located in Okamoto, Ikaruga, Nara Prefecture. Its pagoda, built in 706 AD, is recognized as a World Cultural Heritage site.
