Serene woodblock print "Kinkaku-ji no yuki" (Snow at Golden Pavilion) is by Koichi Okumura (1904-1974). Beautiful snow image. Printer: Saburo Shinmi, Carver: Michio Nagashima and Old Unsodo publisher seal on the right margin. Title "Kinkaku-ji no yuki" (Snow at Golden Pavilion) and dated "Showa 23 nen 1 gatsu saku" (January 1948) in Japanese on the left margin. Outstanding condition for its age. Genuine Japanese woodblock print.  Hard to find these old original first edition prints nowadays. 

Koichi Okumura (1904 - 1974) was an artist in Kyoto who designed woodblock prints for the Unsodo publisher. Okumura was a Nihon - ga (Japanese-style landscape) painter. He is well known very famous Japanese painting artist in Japan.

Signed: "Koichi" with seal "Ko" on the lower left of the image
Condition: Excellent condition. Slightly paper toned from its old age. Very minor paper crease at the corner.
