Amazing woodblock print "Takao Shukei" (Autumn Scene at Takao, Kyoto) is by Koichi Okumura (1904-1974). Absolutely beautiful autumn colors. A peaceful view of the Japanese countryside. Printer: Saburo Shinmi, Carver: Michio Nagashima and Old Unsodo publisher seal on the right margin. Title "Takao Shukei (Autumn Scene at Takao) and dated "Showa 23 nen 6 gatsu saku" (June 1948) in Japanese on the left margin. Excellent condition for its age. Genuine Japanese woodblock print.  Hard to find these old original first edition prints nowadays.

Koichi Okumura (1904 - 1974) was an artist in Kyoto who designed woodblock prints for the Unsodo publisher. Okumura was a Nihon - ga (Japanese-style landscape) painter. He is a well-known very famous Japanese painting artist in Japan.

Condition: Excellent condition. Minor discolorations on the margin from its old age. Still colors are vibrant.
