These lovely diptych prints are "Index of the Series - Thirty-Six Images of Beauty -" by Toshikata Mizuno (1866-1908). These are the index pages, however, they are truly elegant and would be a nice oriental decor in your room. Published and printed by Buemon Akiyama in December 1893 (Meiji 26 nen). Very good impression and colors. Beautifully embossed. This 128-year-old print still has magnificent colors, considering its age. This fine diptych would also look great framed.

Beautiful woodblock print "Jungyo" (Gion Festival) is by Teruhide Kato. Very elegant and sophisticated design. This print shows "Naginata-boko". “Naginata” means halberd in Japanese, and a symbolic halberd is located on its summit. Naginata-boko leads the procession at Gion Festival. Published by Unsodo.
Teruhide Kato had studied at Kyoto Art College. He was a famous kimono fashion designer. When he was 50 years old, he decided to follow his real passion and became a traditional Kyoto woodblock artist. Success remained with the artist. After a gallery exhibition in New York and a book publication of his works titled "Kyoto Romance", he is as famous as a woodblock artist as he used to be as a kimono designer.

Fine Ukiyo-e print "Kabuki Actor: Nakamura Fukusuke" (right side) and "Kabuki Actor: Onoe Kikugoro" (left side) are by Utagawa Kunimasa IV (Utagawa Kunisada III) (1848–1920). They are from the famous Kabuki play " Yoshitsune Senbon zakura" (Yoshitune's one thousand Cherry blossoms trees). Originally they are triptych, however, they are only two prints. The title "Nakamura Fukusuke as Minamoto Yoshitsune" and "Onoe Kikugoro as Kitsune Tadanobu" on the upper left of the image (each). Artist's signature "Baido Kunimasa hitsu" on the upper right of the Nakamura Fukusuke print. Date "Meiji", artist (painter) "Takeuchi Eikyu" (Kunimasa's real name), and publisher "Hasegawa Sonokichi" on the left of the image on the Onoe Kikugoro print. They are rare and beautiful Ukiyo-e prints with amazing colors.
Utagawa Kunisada III (1848–1920) was an ukiyo-e printmaker of the Utagawa school, specializing in yakusha-e (pictures of kabuki actors). He originally signed his prints “Kunimasa" or "Baidō Kunimasa".

Chigusa no hana
The print was issued as part of an orihon (folding book). Title of the book is "千種の花” Chigusa no hana ( A thousand type of flowers). Published in 1897 by Bunemon Akiyama. Artist name "Terukata" with the artist's red seal on the lower left of the image. Title "Chigusa no Hana" on the upper right corner. Beautiful colors and incredible details. Silver metallic pigments on the blue obi sash.

This unique woodblock print is by Clifton Karhu. It came from an old estate in Japan. This unusual woodblock print was greeting letter for his friends. Printed on a brown paper. Japanese saying "Shikai mina onjin" and English translation "FROM THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE WORLD... ALL FRIENDS"
