The marvelous woodblock print "SUWON II" is by Clifton Karhu (1927–2007). This rare early print depicts everyday scenes from the street corners of Suwon, South Korea. The lady, dressed in traditional Korean attire, is portrayed beautifully. The warm colors, reminiscent of a sunset, enhance its beauty, exuding an Oriental mood distinct from Japanese landscapes. Printed in 1969, it is signed, titled, dated, and numbered by the artist in pencil on the bottom margin. This limited edition comprises only 50 sheets.
