The black-and-white woodblock print "Shōjo-zō" (Portrait of a Girl) is by renowned artist Unichi Hiratsuka (1895–1997). Although the composition employs only two colors, Hiratsuka’s masterful technique imparts a freshness that beautifully captures the pure and innocent essence of youth. The artist’s red seal “Unichi” appears in the lower right margin, and the print is hand-signed, titled, and dated in pencil along the bottom margin.
