The lovely silkscreen print "Modern Girl" is by Masayuki Miyata (1926-1997). This print beautifully captures the image of a stylish modern girl from the Taisho era, characterized by her one-piece dress instead of a traditional kimono, bob-cut hair replacing long black hair, and a Western-style hat. Limited edition size of only 100 sheets. Sheet number and hand-signed with an artist's red seal on the bottom margin. This lovely print is a perfect addition to any modern home or office.

Masayuki Miyata was a well-known Japanese Kiri-e (paper-cutting) artist. His career started as an illustrator for modern publications of Japanese classic literature, and he eventually became a recognized Kiri-e artist. His Kiri-e style works including woodblock prints and silkscreen prints are very popular. His collectors are worldwide.
