The unique Western-style woodblock print "Miss Kobe" is by Hide Kawanishi (1894-1965). This print depicts a modern Kobe girl against Kobe port. Very bold and strong colors. This was later printed in 1979. (posthumous printing)
Hide Kawasnishi was born in Kobe. He never left his hometown. His modernist and exotic landscape of Kobe continues to fascinate people both inside and outside Japan. He is one of the pioneer artists of the Sosaku Hanga movement. (Taisho - Early Showa era)

Signed: Artist red round seal "Hide" in Hiragana on the lower right corner of the image and a red square seal "Hide" in Kanji on the lower right margin.
Condition: Very good condition. A tiny spot on the upper left corner is a fiber from the handmade paper process. Please see the last picture.
