Very lovely woodblock print "Bijin no Kaisuiyoku" (Beach Girl) is by Kogyo Terasaki (1866-1919). This is a re-carved edition of original kuchi-e first published by Bungei Kurabu which was a very popular literary magazine in the Meiji era. Signed "Kogyo" with artist seal. This elegant larger re-carved edition by Soudosha Publishers from a limited edition series of only 980 sheets and published on October 1, 1977. Lightly embossed. Authentic hand-carved and hand-printed Japanese woodblock print. This is a very popular print.
