The fine woodblock print "Kingyo uri" (Goldfish Vendor) is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki. This print shows a scene of a goldfish vendor at a summer festival in Japan. "Ranchu no ko 1 piki 10 yen" (Baby of Ranchu, 10 yen each) on the sign. Ranchu is a fancy goldfish. The children are so excited, on the other hand, the vendor is very collected. This is a common feature of Japanese summer.

Amazing woodblock print "Kinkaku-ji Getsumei" (Moonlight at Golden Pavilion) is by Teruhide Kato. Magnificent night image with Golden Pavillion and full moon. Published by Unsodo.
Teruhide Kato had studied at Kyoto Art College. He was a famous kimono fashion designer. When he was 50 years old, he decided to follow his real passion and became a traditional Kyoto woodblock artist. Success remained with the artist. After a gallery exhibition in New York and a book publication of his works titled "Kyoto Romance", he is as famous as a woodblock artist as he used to be as a kimono designer. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2015.

This print captures the beauty and tranquility of the famous Golden Pavilion in Kyoto, Japan. The snowfall adds a touch of magic to the already stunning landscape. Unique texture with heavy embossing by the Takuzuri technique. This technique involves spraying a mist onto paper to give it moisture and transferring the designs of the protruding sections by pressing against them forcefully. His Takuzuri prints are really powerful with his own technique of relief printing.
Kihei Sasajima was born in 1906 in Tochigi prefecture. His artworks were influenced by his teacher Shiko Munakata and Unichi Hiratsuka. He dedicated his life to black and white woodblock prints created in Takuzuri. His collectors are worldwide.

The title, artist's signature, and artist's red seal are in the lower left corner of the image. The artist's name, the title, edition number 158/280 in Japanese Kanji, and the publisher's name "Takamizawa" on the left margin. The deeply embossed title "Kobai" in Kanji is in the center top margin. This is a recarved edition by Takamizawa publisher in 1984. It comes with a Certificate of Authentication in Japanese. A woman holds red plum blossoms in her hands and admires the beauty of the flower. This print captures her innocence beautifully. Plum blossoms symbolize "beauty and longevity". Yumeji Takehisa was born in Okayama in 1884. He is very famous for his Bijin-ga (paintings of beautiful women), in addition, he succeeded as an illustrator for many books or advertisements. The wonderful woodblock print 'Kofu Koen to Fuji' (Kofu Park and Mt. Fuji) is by Kaiseki Jokata (1882–1966) and is part of the series 'Twenty-five Views of Mt. Fuji' (Fuji Nijūgokei). This print depicts a peaceful spring scene at Kofu Park, featuring stone architecture and Mt. Fuji in the background. People are dressed in various styles—some in Kimono, some in Western-style clothes—showing the civilization flourishing during the 1930s when Western and Eastern cultures blended. The cheerful colors of women's clothing and plum blossom trees add elegance to this lovely print. It captures incredible details and is very rare to find on the market.
Kaiseki Jokata (whose real family name is Sadakata) was born in Okayama in 1882. He was an active Nihon-ga artist (painter) and later moved to France, where he was selected for the Salon d'Automne. After returning to Tokyo, he eventually went back to Okayama, his hometown, where he was born and raised. Later in his career, he also worked on woodblock prints. Throughout his life, his primary subjects were Mt. Fuji and Buddhist paintings. His woodblock prints, especially those from the Fuji series, are well-known.

Adorable cat print "Koneko" (Kittens) is by Tomoo Inagaki (1902-1980). Amazing modern composition and contrast. Very bold and strong colors. Printer's name (Yoneda) is embossed on the bottom margin. Wonderful woodblock print "Kōnominato" - Tsukushi gokei (Kōnominato from the series Five Scenes of Tsukushi) is by Hanjiro Sakamoto (1882-1969). Originally published in Taisho 7 (1918). This is a later printing by Kato Hanga Kenkyusho in Showa 45 (1970). Limited edition of 300 prints published. Carver is Kentaro Maeda, Printer is Bunji Yokoyama.
Kōnominato is a famous fish village located in Munakata City, Fukuoka, facing the rough seas of the Genkai Sea and it is also a popular scenic area. The title "Kōnominato" on the lower-left corner of the image. Artist's red seal "Hanjiro" and the embossed publisher's seal "Hanmoto Kato Hanga Kenkyusho" on the lower right margin. Very rare print.
Hanjiro Sakamoto (1882 - 1969) was born in Fukuoka prefecture. He is a well-known Western-style painter. His artworks combine special soft colors, and the theme of the paintings is the scenery, which gives a sense of familiarity.

The elegant woodblock print "Kosen-hakuha" (Crimson Petal - White Petal) is by Toshikata Mizuno (1866-1908). This elegant larger re-carved edition of the original Kuchi-e was first published by Bungei Kurabu. Bungei Kurabu was a very popular literary magazine in the Meiji era. This re-carved edition was published by Soudosha from a limited edition series of only 980 sheets on October 1st, 1977. Signed "Toshikata" with artist seals on the lower left.
Toshikata Mizuno studied the art of woodblock making with Taiso Yoshitoshi. His superb talent expressed his subjects with subtle feelings and the dramatic environments in the most natural and elegant ways. This is one of Toshikata's more popular and recognized works.
