- Kitamatsue yori Daisen Enbo (A distant view of Mt. Daisen from Kitamatsue) -

The small woodblock print "Kitamatsue yori Daisen Enbo" (A Distant View of Mt. Daisen from Kitamatsue) is by Unichi Hiratsuka (1895–1997). In the San’in region, Mt. Daisen is called Hōki Fuji, and when viewed from Kitamatsue in Shimane Prefecture, it resembles Mt. Fuji. This print beautifully captures the seascape with Mt. Daisen in black and white. It is hand-signed, titled, and dated in pencil along the bottom margin, with a red seal reading Unichi Jitō (“carved by Unichi”) in the lower right corner of the image.
