- Violin-hiki (Violinist), 1973 -

The rare and humorous woodblock print “Violin-hiki" (Violinist) 1973 by Takeji Asano. This print is a portrait of a single violinist, with the image filling the entire frame. The limited color palette and bold design make it a very striking piece. It's a work typical of Takeji, perfectly blending strength and simplicity. The dynamic, modern design makes this piece especially appealing for contemporary interiors and pairs beautifully with mid-century décor.

The Japanese title “バイオリン弾き”, the artist’s hand-signed name “浅野竹二”, and the signature “T. Asano” appear in the lower margin. The number 264 (likely the artist’s design number) is noted at the lower right edge. The block signature “T.a.” with date is within the lower right of the image.
