The breathtaking woodblock print "Yuki no Zojoji" (Zojo-ji Temple in Snow) is by Hasui Kawase (1883-1957). First printed in 1929 originally by Kawaguchi & Sakai; this is a later printing by Shobisha from the original blocks. Shobisha obtained the original blocks in about 1950. Signed Hasui with red artist seal "sui" on the lower right corner of the image. The bottom margin contains the title "Yuki no Zojoji" and "Showa 4 nen 12 gatsu saku"(printed in December 1930) in Japanese. Very wonderful "bokashi" shading through print with finely carved details. Peaceful snow image of Zojo-ji Temple in Tokyo.
