This rare woodblock print "Kosodemaku" (A wadded silk garment used as a curtain) is by Tatsumi Shimura (1907-1980). Carver; Kentaro Maeda, Printer; Ritsuzo Sato, and Publisher; Yuyudo. Carver name, printer name and publisher seal on the lower left margin. Red "Tatsumi Kenin" seal in the lower left margin reads, "Tatsumi seal of approval". Colors are vivid and vibrant and in layers. Please see very highly detailed carving, especially her individual hairlines on the forehead and eyelashes.  Absolutely graceful and elegant Bijin print.
