Japanese woodblock print "Bijin Tokaido - Okabe yado" (Bijin Tokaido, Okabe inn) is by Eisen Keisai (1790 - 1848). Originally produced in the Edo period, this is re-carved edition, published by Aratama Kankokai. (some people called Ishu kankokai). Eisen was a Japanese Ukiyo-e artist who specialized in Bijin-ga. This is No.22 Okabe inn from "Beauties and 53 Stations, Tokaido". Publisher name: Aratama kankokai, Carver name: Shigeru Koike, Printer name; Yoshiaki Watanabe, Papermaker (handmade paper): Sosho Yamaguchi) on the bottom margin. Truly beautiful colors and bokashi shading. Everyone knows Hiroshige's 53 stations of Tokaido series. Eisen designed an elegant series of Tokaido scenes featuring Japanese beautiful women in each print. Also, please notice how Eisen put the season's motif in her Kimono in each print.

Condition: Pristine condition. Very faint printer's smudge on the right margin which will be easily matted out.
