"Yuho ga shitaso - Fuzoku 32 sou no uchi"  (Looks wanting to take a walk - Customs and Manners 32 aspects)

Very beautiful woodblock print is by Yoshitoshi Tsukioka (1839-1892). "Yuho ga shitaso - Fuzoku 32 sou no uchi" ( Looks wanting to take a walk - Customs and manners 32 aspects) this is re-carved edition. First printed Meiji 21nen (1888) by Kamekichi Tsunashima. Signed on the left of image. This elegant larger re-carved edition by Soudosha Publishers from a limited edition series of only 980 sheets and published on October 1, 1977.  Still tipped to original presentation folder.  In those days, western style dress was still rare. Only very high class wife could have Western dress and parasol like this. It was quite fresh and different impression. Also this print was very modern Bijin-ga print in those days. Very vivid colors. Beautifully embossed..

Tsukioka Yoshitoshi(1839-1892) is very famous Ukiyo-e artist. In 1850, when he was 11 years old, Yoshitoshi was apprenticed to Utagawa Kuniyoshi, one of great masters of the Japanese woodblock print. Yoshitoshi created modern ukiyo-e depicting warriors, actors and Bijin.

Condition: Pristine Condition. Flawless, bright colors with fill margins. Natural paper wrinkle at the upper left corner which will be easily mat out.
