Absolutely beautiful Bijin-ga print "香を焚く女" (Woman burning incense) is by Keiichi Takasawa. A slender Japanese woman is holding a celadon colored incense pot in her hands and enjoying the smell of incense. Amazing contrast. Very simple and mysterious bijin (beautiful woman) print. This celadon colored incense pot with dragon adds elegant and oriental atmosphere at the same time nicely. Publisher is Yuyudo. Publisher seal on the lower right margin. Carver name "Kentaro Maeda" and printer name "Ritsuzo Sato" on the lower left margin. Limited Edition, very special "H.C" from only a very few know to ever exist. "H.C" (hors commerce) means an article not for sale in French. Usually refers to print identical to the edition print intended to be used as samples to show to dealers and galleries. This print is extremely hard to find.
