Fine woodblock print "Yoru no Tokyo, Ryogokubashi yori"(Tokyo at Night from the Ryogoku Bridge) is by Toshi Yoshida. The gentle lights through Shoji (Japanese washi paper windows and lanterns) bring a heartwarming atmosphere. The reflection of light on the water is so beautiful. First printed in 1939. This is a later edition. Block-signed "Toshi Yoshida" English title "From the Ryogoku Bridge"(impressed) on the bottom margin. Dated "Showa 14 nen (1939)" and Japanese title "Yoru no Tokyo, Ryogokubashi yori" (Tokyo at Night from the Ryogoku Bridge) in Japanese on the left margin. Later printing stamp "atozuri" and printer's stamp "Shinkichi Numabe" on verso. (lower left edge of the paper)
