"Shinagawa"(Rainy Season at Ryoshimachi, Shinagawa) is by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957). "Ryoshimachi" means "The town where the fisherman lives in". Right margin contains title "Shinagawa"(this is town name) and "Showa 6 nen 3 gatsu saku"(printed March 1931) in Japanese. Published by Watanabe with Watanabe "Heisei" Seal. Very wonderful "bokashi" shading through print with finely carved details. Old master quality. Very Japanese mood. A true classic Hasui print of the highest order.
