Shain no kugaku  車胤の苦学

This print was produced as a kuchie frontispiece for a book. The title is "Shain no kugaku" "Shain" (person name) who was poor and had no money to buy oil for the lamp when he was young, so he gathered fireflies in the silk bag and read books. He read, and he rose to the rank of the high official. Artist name "Kotei - ga" with a red seal on the lower right corner.
