From 53 stations of Tokaido Road. This print shows factories at night in Yokkaichi. This is one of my favorite Sekino prints. Colorful reflection on the water is so striking. This print signifies the never sleeping city of Yokkaichi. It illustrates the bright lights that are radiating from the factories along with the atmosphere of hard-working overnight workers. Printed on special watermarked paper, "Jun. Sekino". Hand-signed "Jun Sekino" and artist red seal "Jun" in lower right corner of the image.

Yokkaichi is located in north-central of Mie Prefecture, which is northeastern Kii Peninsula. From 1939, Yokkaichi became a center for the chemical industry, with the Imperial Japanese Navy constructing a large refinery near the port area.
