The Japanese woodblock print 'Actor, Arashi Sanpachi,' is by Toyokuni Utagawa. This is called 'ōkubi-e' (a Japanese portrait print in the ukiyo-e genre showing only the head or the head and upper torso). This unique and eye-catching print features the actor's portrait with a very serious face placed boldly in the center. The bold lines and fine embossing enhance its appeal. The artist's signature, 'Toyokuni-ga,' is located in the upper left corner of the image, while the original publisher's seal is in the upper right corner. This is a recarved edition from the Showa era and is rarely seen on the market.
