The beautiful woodblock print "Sumiya" (Restaurant Sumiya) is by Katsuyuki Nishijima. Printed in 1994, Restaurant Sumiya in Shimabara is a fine example of "Ageya" (luxurious restaurant) style architecture, which was built more than 250 years ago in Japan. It was designated a National Cultural Treasure in 1952 by the Japanese government. Hand-signed in pencil, titled, and numbered by the artist on the bottom margin. Excellent shading, bold colors, and strong ink bleed through.

Condition: Excellent condition. A faint ink smudge on the lower left margin corner, which will be matted out.
