The breathtaking woodblock print "Weeping Cherry and Full Moon, Kyoto" is by Teruhide Kato. Extremely rare limited edition print. Handsigned "Hide Kato" on the bottom margin. Already framed and ready to hang on your wall. The weeping cherry and full moon stand out amazingly against the black background. (I took pictures with glass. Sorry, my pictures may have some reflection)
Teruhide Kato had studied at Kyoto Art College. He was a famous kimono fashion designer. When he was 50 years old, he decided to follow his real passion and became a traditional Kyoto woodblock artist. Success remained with the artist. After a gallery exhibition in New York and a book publication of his works titled "Kyoto Romance", he is as famous as a woodblock artist as he used to be as a kimono designer. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2015.
