Shato no yuki (Snow at Benten Shrine, Inokashira)

Hasui Kawase

Signed Hasui with red artist seal "sui". Bottom margin contains title "Shato no Yuki"(Snow at Benten Shrine, Inokashira) and "Showa 4nen"(printed 1929) in Japanese. Pristine condition, never framed and full margins. Very wonderful "bokashi" shading through print with finely carved details. Old master quality. Paper size is 16 inches by 11 and 1/4 inches. Very Japanese mood, very soft romantic colors beautiful and delicate. A true classic Hasui print of the highest order.
