Heavily embossed woodblock print "Poem 70 -23 (GO) by HAKU MAKI (1924-2000). "Go" means "words" in Japanese. A large and long print with four embossed calligraphic symbols on a textured background with tiny orange & red accent and green border. The second calligraphic symbol is bright white color than other three. Titled, sheet numbered "86/153", hand signed in pencil by the artist. Artist red seal "Maki Haku" on the lower right corner of the image. I try to show details of this print as possible as I can, however, it was hard to photograph. Please feel free to ask me more additional pictures, if you need.
Paper size: 8 and 3/4 x 24 and 1/4 inches
Sheet number: 86/153
Signed: Hand signed in pencil by artist
Condition: The print is in good condition for its age with slightly paper toning, minor paper crease at the corners and some light foxing on the margins which will be mat out. Some extremely faint foxing into the image, it's hard to see the pictures. Haku Maki did use a lot of water in order to get the deep embossing on some of his prints. So foxing into his print is very typical and common.
