The breathtaking woodblock print "Mizu nurumu" (Warm Waters of Early Spring) is by Katsuyuki Nishijima. Extra large size. Peaceful early spring view of Takenouchi in Nara. Hand-numbered, titled, and signed by the artist in pencil. Artist's official red "Shima" seal on the lower-right corner of the image. Limited edition size of only 100 prints. Amazing colors.

A long time ago, Takenouchi was a moated village with a moat surrounding it to protect it from enemies such as thieves and samurai warriors. The scenery still exists on the north side.
