The tranquil woodblock print 'Kokyō no Yukigeshiki' (Snowy Scene from My Hometown) by Masao Ido (1945–2016) beautifully captures a peaceful winter moment in a quiet mountain village. Snow blankets the rice paddies, while gentle Ojizō-san statues stand watch along the roadside, radiating a quiet warmth. Soft snow continues to fall, deepening the stillness of the scene.

This exquisite print was brought to life using 39 blocks and 53 printings. Delicate touches of gold and silver leaf, scattered like shimmering snowflakes, lend the work a magical, dreamlike glow—a poetic tribute to the quiet splendor of a snow-covered village.
