Artist signed "Noboru Yamataka", edition number 38/100 and the title in pencil on the lower margin. Beautiful woodgrain in sky. Post in front of house is historic marker which reads,"Shiseki Kobayashi issa Kyotaku" (Historic spot, former house of Kobayashi Issa) Please see pictures. Kobayashi Issa (1763-1828) famous Japanese poet and lay Buddhist priest known for his haiku poems and regarded as one of the four great haiku masters in Japan.
