Truly serene print "Ine no Yuu" (Sunset at Ine) is by Katsuyuki Nishijima. Normally Ine town is very lively. Around sunset, fishermen are at home with their family. The lights through the Shoji (Japanese washi paper windows) and the reflection of light on the water bring a heartwarming atmosphere. His masterful woodblock print reflects a nostalgic view of Japan.

Funaya (boat houses) at Ine
The astonishing land-water space created by 230 Funaya (boathouses), circle along the Ine Bay shoreline, can only be seen hear at Ine. The whole Funaya seem to be floating on the high tide, looking like row houses on the water. The boat is one of the major local transportation in Ine bay. There was a school boat to send children off to high school in Miyazu city in the past time.
