Gionkai (Ichiriki, Gion)

"Gionkai" (Ichiriki, Gion) is by Katsuyuki Nishijima. Printed ca 2011. This is very famous Ochaya "Ichiriki" in Gion, Kyoto. "Ochaya" is the room where there is Geisha or maiko.  The store sign (noren) reads "Ichiriki" (which is the very famous "Ochaya" name).  This traditional architecture with the warm red color wall shows the beauty of Kyoto. Hand numbered, titled and signed by the artist in pencil. Artist's official red "Shima" seal on the lower left of the image. Limited edition of only 100 prints.
